4 Stippl Alternatives Compared in 2026
Stippl turns a prompt into a day-by-day itinerary, with budgets, journals and packing lists, and its Pro plan starts at 4.99 euros a month. Its App Store listing shows 4.58 stars from 486 ratings. NomadSwipe does a smaller job on Android: you swipe through real places in one city and save the ones you like onto a map.
People look past Stippl for three reasons: they want a simpler way to choose places before planning anything, they want a different price model, or they hit the bugs and usability complaints that show up in its App Store reviews. This page covers four alternatives whose public pages we read on this date, and says where Stippl or another app is the better pick.

NomadSwipe
Best for: choosing places in a city by swiping
NomadSwipe is an Android trip planner for finding places. You pick a city and it shows real places one card at a time. Tap Save or swipe right to keep a place, and tap Skip or swipe left to pass. Saved places are pinned on a map for that trip, and the list can be sorted by rating, distance or A to Z.

- Strength: a quick shortlist of places you chose yourself, before you have a plan.
- Limit: it does not build a day-by-day itinerary or generate one with AI. You plan each day yourself around the map.
- Limit: it is Android only.
The base plan includes 3 trips, plus 2 destination searches and 2 custom pins a month, with a limited number of swipes. Premium (Monthly or Lifetime, bought in the app) removes those limits. Up to 20 recent trips are available offline.
Stippl
Best for: an AI-built itinerary with budgets, journals and packing lists
Stippl's homepage describes a day-by-day plan with times, places and notes in one timeline, route planning that calculates distances and travel times, and an AI that turns a single prompt into a full itinerary. It also lists expense splitting with your travel crew, hotel search, documents, a journal and a packing list. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web, published by Stippl B.V.
On price, Stippl's pricing text says the free plan includes unlimited trips, budgets, journals, packing lists and travel tracking. A single paid plan, Stippl Pro, starts from 4.99 euros a month and adds unlimited AI trip and day-plan generation, expense export with custom categories, and reusable packing checklists. We did not find an annual price.
Store ratings differ by platform. The App Store listing shows 4.58 from 486 ratings and the Google Play listing shows 3.7 with more than 100,000 downloads. Some recent App Store reviews report problems: one 2026 review describes double-booked expenses, freezing and trouble changing dates, and others call it hard to use or say it lags. Another review from 2026 calls it well worth the money. Reviews are individual experiences, so test the app on your own trip before paying.
- Strength: a full planner with AI itineraries, budgets and journals, available on iPhone, Android and web, with a generous free plan.
- Limit: more features mean more to learn, and some App Store reviewers report bugs and usability problems.
Wanderlog
Best for: an itinerary with a map in one view
Wanderlog's homepage describes one app for all travel planning: your itinerary and your map in one view, with bookings in the same place. It says you can plan with friends in real time, with live syncing and collaborative editing. We did not confirm its price, because its pricing page returned a 404 this run, so check its site before you decide.
- Strength: the itinerary and the map sit in one view, and collaborative editing is listed.
- Limit: we did not confirm its price or which plan includes which feature.
TripIt
Best for: keeping flights, hotels and bookings in one timeline
TripIt's homepage describes forwarding your booking confirmations to plans@tripit.com to build an itinerary. Its pricing page offers a free tier, and TripIt Pro is 49 dollars a year, with a 30-day free trial of Pro offered on its Pro page.
- Strength: it organizes bookings you already made, with no manual entry.
- Limit: it organizes trips more than it helps you choose what to do in a city.
Polarsteps
Best for: recording a trip as a travel log
Polarsteps titles its homepage "Plan, Track & Relive Your Trips", and the page says it works offline. Its Plus page says you can still plan, track, share and relive trips for free. Its Plus plan costs 8.99 euros a month or 29.99 euros a year, and its Plus page says there is no free trial. Polarsteps records the trip. NomadSwipe helps you choose the places for it.
- Strength: a good fit when you want to remember and share where you went.
- Limit: it is a log of the trip, so it is a weaker fit for picking places in advance.
