Schengen 90/180-Day Calculator

Updated 2 November 2026. Runs in your browser. Trip dates are not sent to any server.

Add your trips and pick a check date. The calculator shows how many stay days you have used in the 180 days up to that date, how many you have left, and when the next day frees up.

Your trips

Planning aid, not legal advice. This calculator applies the 90-days-in-any-180-days rule as the European Commission describes it. Check the official sources before you travel, and confirm your own situation with the border authority or your embassy. Holders of EU residence permits or long-stay visas are not subject to this rule.

How the 90/180 rule works

In the Schengen area, a short stay is limited to 90 days within any 180-day period. To check a day, count back 180 days from it. The stay days in that window must not exceed 90. Entry and exit days both count as days of stay.

Example: 90 days from 1 January to 31 March 2026 uses the full allowance. On 30 June 2026, 1 January leaves the 180-day window, so one day frees up.

Check the official sources

Use the European Commission short-stay calculator to confirm your dates before you travel. This page is a planning aid and can differ from the official tool if your dates or visa type are unusual.
