Swipe Travel Apps Compared in 2026
Swipe travel apps show you places one card at a time and let you keep the ones you like. Honua swipes through photos of places around the world, and its App Store listing is for iPhone. NomadSwipe swipes through real places in one city on Android, and saves your picks to a trip map.
In our search on 2 November 2026, most swipe-based place apps we found were listed for Apple devices, and few showed a Google Play listing. This page compares the two we could read on their store listings that day, and says where each one is the better pick.

NomadSwipe
Best for: choosing places in one city by swiping
NomadSwipe is an Android trip planner for finding places. You pick a city and it shows real places one card at a time. Each card shows the category, rating, distance and whether the place is open. Save a place to keep it, or skip it. Saved places are pinned on a map for that trip, and the list can be sorted by rating, distance or A to Z.

- Strength: a shortlist of places you chose yourself, before you have a plan.
- Limit: it does not build an itinerary. You plan each day yourself around the map.
- Limit: it is Android only for now. An iPhone version is coming soon.
The free plan includes 3 trips, 2 searched places saved to a trip a month, 2 custom pins a month and a daily limit on saves. Premium (Monthly or Lifetime, bought in the app) includes up to 20 saved trips available offline.
Honua
Best for: browsing photos of places around the world and saving favorites on a map
Honua's App Store listing says: "With Honua you swipe through photos of locations all around the world." You add the ones you like to your favorites, and the listing says "Your favorites are saved on a map for you to visit anytime." It also says the app can help you prepare "for your next big trip", and that it is supported by photographers who share their pictures. The listing shows the price as Free and does not mention in-app purchases.
- Strength: a map of the places you saved, on iPhone, at no listed price.
- Limit: its App Store listing is for iPhone and Mac, and it does not mention Android.
- Limit: it is built around photos of locations worldwide, so it is a weaker fit for shortlisting one city's places.
