Yerevan in 2 days: 17 stops checked against stored hours
A Yerevan 2-day itinerary of 17 stops from the NomadSwipe app's 383 Yerevan places: day one around Republic Square and the Matenadaran, day two in the west. Day one works Tuesday to Saturday, and day two works every day except Monday and Thursday.
The plan at a glance
- Day 1, the centre and the north: the Matenadaran, Victory Park and the Mother Armenia statue, the Ervand Kochar Museum, the Cat Statue, lunch at Lavash Restaurant, Swan Lake, the History Museum of Armenia, the National Gallery of Armenia, dinner at Dolmama and a late set at the Malkhas Jazz Club.
- Day 2, the west: the Sergei Parajanov Museum, the ARARAT Museum, the Armenian Genocide Museum, lunch at EL Garden, the Martiros Saryan House Museum, Lovers' Park and dinner at Seasons Restaurant.
- Days of the week: day one works Tuesday to Saturday and has a swap for Sunday. Day two works Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with one drop each for Monday and Thursday. Monday is the weak day for this city (see the weekday table).
- Distance: day one adds up to about 4.0 km by straight line between stored coordinates and day two to about 6.3 km. The longest leg is 2.37 km on day two. These are not walking times.
A deck of hotels and restaurants with a thin sight layer
Of the 383 places in the Yerevan deck, 77 are sights by my grouping (20%), 111 are restaurants, 75 are hotels, 38 are cafes, 20 are bars, 16 are vacation rentals and 14 are beauty and spa places. The sights span ten stored categories: museum (21), art gallery (15), theater and concert hall (11), park (9), tourist attraction (9), amusement place (3), garden (3), historic site (3), zoo (2) and castle (1). Only 44 of the 77 have a stored rating, and 25 are rated 4.0 or higher with at least 100 stored reviews. This plan uses 13 sights from those 25, plus four places to eat. Seven of the 13 are museums.
- The deck repeats some sights. The History Museum of Armenia appears twice, as does Victory Park and the zoo, and the botanical garden three times, each under its own place ID. I use one card per venue.
- Prices are left out. I did not source ticket prices from official pages this run, and the official museum sites I could have used are not read here, so check each place's own website the day you go.
- Some well-known names are missing. A title search found no sight card for Republic Square, the Cascade, the Blue Mosque, Khor Virap or Geghard (details in the findings). Anything you want that the deck lacks is yours to add as a pin on the map.
Which days of the week work
I parsed the stored weekly hours of the 14 stops that have them with a script, set a suggested start time for each, and tested every weekday. A stop fails a day if its stored hours are closed or do not cover the start time, and I flagged any stop with under an hour left before closing. The Cat Statue, Swan Lake and Victory Park have no stored hours, so the script cannot test them.
| Weekday | Day 1 works? | Day 2 works? |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | No: the Matenadaran, the Kochar Museum, the History Museum and the National Gallery are stored as closed | No: the Genocide Museum is stored as closed (drop it) |
| Tuesday | Yes | Yes |
| Wednesday | Yes | Yes |
| Thursday | Yes | No: the Saryan House Museum is stored as closed (drop it) |
| Friday | Yes | Yes |
| Saturday | Yes | Yes |
| Sunday | No: the Matenadaran is stored as closed (swap), and the Gallery leaves 30 minutes | Yes |
Monday is the day this city punishes. Across the 43 Yerevan sight cards with stored hours, 13 show Monday as closed (30%), against 7 for Sunday and 2 for Thursday, and 10 of the 18 museums with stored hours are closed on Monday. Day one is built from three of those museums and a gallery, so it cannot run on a Monday, and I did not build a swap for four closed stops. If Monday is your only free day, run day two without the Armenian Genocide Museum: the Parajanov Museum and the ARARAT Museum are stored as open daily, and Lovers' Park is stored as open every day from 7 AM. On Sunday, drop the Matenadaran, which is stored as closed, and start day one at Victory Park, which has no stored hours. The History Museum and the Gallery both close at 5 PM on Sunday, so a 15:15 start leaves 1 hour 45 minutes at the first and 30 minutes at the second: pick one on a Sunday. On Thursday, drop the Saryan House Museum and give the time to Lovers' Park. Thursday then Friday works as written with day one first, and Wednesday then Thursday works if you swap the order. Hours also change on public holidays, so confirm before you go.
Day 1: Republic Square and the north
Day one starts at the Matenadaran, goes a little north to Victory Park, then south through the Kochar Museum to the Tumanyan Street restaurants, and ends in the Pushkin Street area. All ten stops lie east of longitude 44.510 in the stored coordinates. By straight line the farthest pair, Victory Park and the History Museum of Armenia, is 1.97 km apart, and going stop to stop adds up to about 4.0 km. The longest leg, 0.96 km, is from Victory Park to the Kochar Museum. Times below are my suggested start times.
- 10:00, Matenadaran (Museum of Ancient Manuscripts): stored as a museum at 53 Mesrop Mashots Avenue, 4.7 from 1,501 reviews. Open 10 AM to 5 PM from Tuesday to Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday, so 10:00 is the opening time.
- 11:30, Victory Park and Statue of Mother Armenia: stored as a park at 26/2 Saryan Street, 4.2 from 522 reviews, with no stored hours, so I cannot match it to a weekday. Only 0.40 km from the Matenadaran. The deck holds two cards for it under different place IDs, with coordinates about 0.2 km apart. I use the second.
- 12:30, Ervand Kochar Museum: stored as a museum at Mashtots M. ave 39/12, 4.8 from 105 reviews, the fewest reviews of any stop in the plan. Open 11 AM to 5 PM from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 AM to 4 PM on Sunday and closed Monday. 0.96 km from the park.
- 13:15, Cat Statue: stored as a tourist attraction at Tamanyan str. 10, Cafesjian Sculpture Garden, 4.2 from 161 reviews, with no stored hours. Only 0.18 km from the Kochar Museum.
- 13:45, Lavash Restaurant: stored as a restaurant at 21 Tumanyan St, 4.8 from 5,205 reviews, the most reviewed place of the plan. Open 8:30 AM to midnight every day. 0.74 km from the Cat Statue.
- 14:45, Swan Lake: stored as a tourist attraction at Tumanyan Street, Svobody Square, 4.0 from 175 reviews, the lowest rating in the plan, with no stored hours. Only 0.16 km from lunch.
- 15:15, History Museum of Armenia: stored as a museum at Republic Square 4, 4.3 from 885 reviews. Open 11 AM to 6 PM from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday and closed Monday. 0.64 km from the lake.
- 16:30, National Gallery of Armenia: stored as an art gallery at 1 Aram street, 4.3 from 238 reviews, with the same stored hours as the History Museum. Only 0.02 km from it by stored coordinates, so the two share a building or an address block. No other art gallery card in the deck has more than 45 stored reviews.
- 18:45, Dolmama: stored as a restaurant at 10 Pushkin str, 4.3 from 1,558 reviews, open 11 AM to 11:30 PM every day. 0.23 km from the Gallery.
- 20:30, Malkhas Jazz Club: stored as a tourist attraction (not as a bar) at Pushkin, 52, 4.1 from 371 reviews, open 8 PM to 2 AM every day. 0.63 km from dinner.

Day 2: the western side
Day two stays west of longitude 44.510, from the Genocide Museum and EL Garden at the far end back to Lovers' Park. It is more spread out than day one: the farthest pair, EL Garden and Seasons Restaurant, is 2.37 km apart, and going stop to stop adds up to about 6.3 km. That 2.37 km leg is also the longest of the plan, so it is the one to plan a ride for. The first three stops are within 1.3 km of each other, and the last three are within 1.0 km. I read no transit source this run, so I give straight-line distances only and no travel times. Times below are my suggested start times.
- 10:00, Sergei Parajanov Museum: stored as a museum at 15/1 Israyelyan street, 4.7 from 671 reviews, open 10 AM to 6 PM every day.
- 11:15, ARARAT Museum: stored as a museum at Admiral Isakov Ave., 2, 4.6 from 805 reviews, open 10 AM to 7 PM every day. Only 0.37 km from the Parajanov Museum.
- 12:30, Armenian Genocide Museum: stored as a museum at 8/8 Tsitsernakaberd Highway, Kentron District, 4.8 from 1,576 reviews, the second most reviewed sight card in the deck after Play City. Open 11 AM to 4:30 PM and closed Monday, so 12:30 leaves four hours before closing. 1.22 km from the ARARAT Museum.
- 14:30, EL Garden: stored as a cafe at Tsitsernakaberd Park 8, 4.5 from 745 reviews, open 10 AM to 1 AM every day. 0.78 km from the museum, so lunch comes after the visit.
- 16:00, Martiros Saryan House Museum: stored as a museum at Saryan poghoc 3, 4.8 from 122 reviews. Open 11 AM to 6 PM and closed Thursday. 2.37 km from lunch, the longest leg.
- 17:00, Lovers' Park: stored as a park at 21/1 Marshal Baghramyan avenue, 4.4 from 283 reviews, open from 7 AM to 2 AM (to midnight on Sunday). 0.55 km from the Saryan House Museum.
- 18:30, Seasons Restaurant: stored as a restaurant at 15, 5 Mesrop Mashtots Ave., at Seasons Park, 4.8 from 1,054 reviews, open noon to 2 AM every day. 1.00 km from the park.

Where the stored hours bind
These are the stops whose stored hours decide the start time or the weekday.
| Stop | Stored hours | What it forces |
|---|---|---|
| Matenadaran | Opens 10 AM; closed Sun-Mon | The 10:00 start, and day one's Sunday swap |
| Ervand Kochar Museum | Opens 11 AM; closes 4 PM on Sunday; closed Mon | The 12:30 start, and day one's Monday |
| History Museum of Armenia and National Gallery | Close 6 PM (5 PM on Sunday); closed Mon | The 15:15 and 16:30 starts, and the Sunday 30-minute squeeze |
| Armenian Genocide Museum | 11 AM-4:30 PM; closed Mon | The 12:30 start, and day two's Monday |
| Martiros Saryan House Museum | 11 AM-6 PM; closed Thu | The 16:00 start, and day two's Thursday |
| Malkhas Jazz Club | Daily 8 PM-2 AM | The 20:30 start, after dinner |
What I left out, and why
- Day trips. Garni Temple (stored as a historic site, 4.5 from 1,256 reviews) and the Echmiatsin and Zvartnots card (4.5 from 217) have no stored hours and sit about 19 to 20 km from Republic Square by straight line. That is a separate day, so I left them out. The same goes for the Metsamor museum-reserve, which has no rating.
- Amusement and east-side places. Play City (4.4 from 2,211 reviews, open noon to 10 PM daily) and Yerevan Park (4.7 from 1,080) are the most reviewed and the fifth most reviewed sight cards in the deck, but they sit about 5.8 and 6.3 km from Republic Square. The two zoo cards (4.2 from 154) are about 3.7 km out. All three lie east of both days, so I skipped them.
- Nearby sights that did not fit. The House-Museum of Aram Khachaturian (4.8 from 128, closed Sunday) is 1.3 km from Republic Square, and Charles Aznavour Square (4.4 from 265, no stored hours) is 0.4 km. Both would fit a day-one swap. The Arame Karaoke Club is stored as a tourist attraction at 4.7 from 558 reviews, but it is a nightlife venue and I did not use it.
- Sights with few reviews. The deck has 15 art gallery cards and only the National Gallery has more than 45 stored reviews. The botanical garden (3.9 from 35) is stored three times. I used neither.
- Hotels and rentals. 75 hotels and 16 vacation rentals make up 24% of the deck, and none of the hotel cards has stored hours, so I skipped them for a day plan.
Getting around between the stops
- Day one is mostly compact. Eight of its nine legs are 0.02 to 0.74 km by straight line, and only the 0.96 km leg from Victory Park to the Kochar Museum is close to a kilometre. Streets make the real walk longer than the straight line.
- Day two has one long leg. The 2.37 km hop from EL Garden to the Saryan House Museum is the one to plan a ride for. The 1.22 km leg from the ARARAT Museum to the Genocide Museum and the 1.00 km leg from Lovers' Park to dinner are shorter but still real. Transit routes, fares and times are left out because I did not read an official page for them this run.
- In the app: each card shows its distance and opening status, and the list sorts by rating, distance or A to Z.
How I would swipe the Yerevan deck
I built NomadSwipe, so this is the method I would use, not a trip I already took. I would open the Yerevan deck and swipe right on the museums, parks and sights that match my taste, and on a few places to eat, and left on the rest. The deck is mostly restaurants and hotels, 33 of its 77 sights have no rating, and 23 of its 383 cards are outside Yerevan, so I would check any card with a missing rating or hours before saving it. Then I would open the map to see which saved places cluster. In this deck the sights separate into a central group around Republic Square and a western group toward the Genocide Museum, split at about longitude 44.510, and those became my two days. The closed-day pattern above is the part to check last, because a good cluster can still land on a Monday. NomadSwipe is Android only.
Questions about this Yerevan plan
Can I follow this Yerevan plan on a Monday?
Not as written. On Monday the Matenadaran, the Ervand Kochar Museum, the History Museum of Armenia and the National Gallery of Armenia are all stored as closed, so day one fails. Day two fails only on the Armenian Genocide Museum, which is stored as closed on Monday, so drop that stop and day two works. Across the 43 Yerevan sight cards that have stored hours, 13 show Monday as closed. The stored hours were read on 6 November 2026, so confirm them before you go.
Which days of the week work for both days?
Day one works from Tuesday to Saturday. Day two works on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So Tuesday then Wednesday, Thursday then Friday, Friday then Saturday and Saturday then Sunday all work as written. Wednesday then Thursday works if you swap the order, because the Martiros Saryan House Museum on day two is stored as closed on Thursday.
Why are Garni, Echmiatsin and the Cascade not in the plan?
Garni Temple (stored 4.5 from 1,256 reviews, no stored hours) and the Echmiatsin and Zvartnots card (stored 4.5 from 217 reviews, no stored hours) sit about 19 to 20 km from Republic Square by straight line, so they are day trips, not stops in a two-day city plan. A title search of the Yerevan data found no sight card for Republic Square, the Cascade, Khor Virap or Geghard, so I did not add them from memory. Add any of them as your own pin and check hours on an official page.
How were the 17 stops chosen?
I picked cards by hand from the app's Yerevan data with a stored rating of 4.0 or higher and at least 100 stored reviews, then checked each suggested start time against the stored weekly hours. Three stops, the Cat Statue, Swan Lake and Victory Park, have no stored hours, so I kept them for their ratings and their position between other stops. Day one stays within 2.0 km and day two within 2.4 km, both by straight line between stored coordinates.
Build your own two days
I built NomadSwipe to turn a city into a mapped shortlist: swipe real places, save the ones you like, and see them on one map. It is Android only.
Findings, method and sample
Sample and method. I read the NomadSwipe app's place data on 6 November 2026 with read-only queries. Yerevan is stored as one destination row (country code ARM, no duplicate rows and no same-name rows with another country), which holds 383 cards for 383 distinct place IDs and 378 distinct titles (case-insensitive), because the same venue can appear under more than one place ID. I counted cards, not merged venues, unless stated. An empty stored hours list counts as no stored hours. I measured distance in a straight line between stored coordinates. Every row was last updated on 9 May 2026.
- Of the 383 places, 268 have a stored rating, and 236 of those are rated 4.0 or higher (88%). 136 are rated 4.5 or higher (51%). The median stored rating is 4.5. 200 of the 383 have stored weekly hours (52%).
- I grouped the places by stored category into buckets I defined myself: 77 sights (museums, art galleries, theaters and concert halls, parks, tourist attractions, amusement places, gardens, historic sites, zoos and castles), 111 restaurants, 75 hotels, 38 cafes, 20 bars, 16 vacation rentals, 14 beauty and spa places and 32 other places. The bucket totals sum to 383. Sights are 20% of the deck. I counted only the CamelCase stored categories, and lowercase variants of the same names would be another scraped list.
- The sights come in ten stored categories: museum (21), art gallery (15), theater and concert hall (11), park (9), tourist attraction (9), amusement place (3), garden (3), historic site (3), zoo (2) and castle (1). 43 of the 77 have stored hours and 44 have a stored rating. 33 have no rating and 34 have no stored hours. The 77 sight cards sit at 69 distinct addresses, so some venues have more than one card.
- Sight cards are thin on reviews. 25 of the 77 sights are rated 4.0 or higher with at least 100 stored reviews. That is 22 distinct venues, after merging the two History Museum cards, the two Victory Park cards and the two zoo cards, and 23 of the 25 cards lie inside my box around the city. 18 of the 25 have stored hours. Only 5 sights have 1,000 or more stored reviews: Play City, the Armenian Genocide Museum, the Matenadaran, Garni Temple and Yerevan Park.
- Of the 200 places with stored weekly hours, 17 show Monday as closed (9%), 11 show Sunday, 5 show Tuesday, 4 show Thursday, 3 show Wednesday, 2 show Saturday and 1 shows Friday. 29 places show at least one closed day (15%). Among the 43 sights with stored hours, 13 show Monday as closed (30%), 7 show Sunday, 2 show Thursday, and 19 show at least one closed day (44%). 10 of the 18 museums with stored hours show Monday as closed. None of the 75 hotel cards has stored hours.
- Landmark search: titles were searched for Republic Square, the Cascade, the Blue Mosque, Khor Virap, Geghard, Noravank, Tatev, Sevan, Vernissage, the Opera, Erebuni and the Mother Armenia statue. Republic Square matched only hotels, Vernissage matched only a beauty salon and the Cascade matched only cafes and a restaurant. The Opera and Ballet theater and the Erebuni Town-Fortress cards exist but have no stored rating, reviews or hours, so I did not use them. The Mother Armenia statue is covered only through the Victory Park card.
- 360 of the 383 places fall inside a rough box around the city (latitude 40.0 to 40.3, longitude 44.35 to 44.65), and 23 fall outside it. Of the 77 sights, 72 are inside and 5 are outside: Garni Temple, the Echmiatsin and Zvartnots card, the Metsamor museum-reserve, the Airudzi Riding Club in Ashtarak and a hiking and canoe trail in Port Alfred, South Africa (stored latitude -33.60, longitude 26.90). Nine of the 23 outside places are restaurants.
- I chose the 17 stops by hand: cards with a stored rating of 4.0 or higher and at least 100 stored reviews (lowest rating 4.0, fewest reviews 105), chosen to mix categories, keep each day on one side of the city and fit the stored opening days. They are seven museums, one art gallery, two parks, three tourist attractions, three restaurants and one cafe, across six stored categories. 14 of the 17 have stored hours. They are not simply the 17 highest-rated cards. The 100 line is mine, not a rule in the app.
- Using straight-line distance between stored coordinates, day one totals about 3.98 km (longest leg 0.96 km, farthest pair 1.97 km) and day two about 6.30 km (longest leg 2.37 km, farthest pair 2.37 km, EL Garden and Seasons Restaurant). The centres of the two days are about 1.46 km apart, which is small because the day split is by longitude, not by a clear gap. These are not walking times.
Limits: the ratings, review counts and hours are stored values from 9 May 2026 that may have changed since. The Cat Statue, Swan Lake and Victory Park have no stored hours and are not weekday-tested. The suggested start times are mine and are checked only against stored hours. The swaps and drops for Monday, Thursday and Sunday are checked against stored hours by hand, not by the script. I left out ticket prices, transit fares and travel times, because I read no official site or transit page for them, and I did not copy any third-party review text. Some stored names carry Armenian script or transliteration variants, so a search for a place may need more than one spelling.
